Commtech Summative

Research:
1.   Rational: I choose the play station 3 logo because I thought that they haven’t changed the logo mush since they came out with play station 1. The play station logo is also really plain and could use something that makes it pop out. For example; colour, texture, shape, size, 3-D or even a new font!
2.   Current Brand Personality: the original PS3 logo is very boring and he doesn’t like to get out much, he prefers to stay unnoticed.
3.   Rebrand Personality: the new PS3 logo is fun and exciting and loves getting out and socializing, he is a very out going person!
4.   Good Brand: the manufactures of play station is Sony, Sony has made many play station products such as; ps1, ps2, ps3, and psp. All of those products were very successful in production!
5.   Other brands that cater to the same demographic as PS3 is X-BOX, and Wii. These other brands communicate to their specific clientele by catching the clienteles attention with logos that “pop” and draw you eye.
6.   Pitch: Play Station 3 has a logo that is bland, dull, and doesn’t catch the clientele’s attention. The new idea that I present Sony with will bring life, fun, and catch the clientele’s attention. I will provide 50 different logos for your selection.
